First unveiled at the world’s biggest consumer electronics show, CES 2017, our incredible new BLU MKII upscaling digital/CD transport is now shipping and will be arriving in dealerships soon. The new source component, which features a USB-Type B input in addition to its high-quality CD mechanism, is capable of upscaling audio data to 16x the resolution of CD, thanks to its proprietary M-SCALER technology, devised by our digital designer Rob Watts. BLU MKII is capable of truly remarkable resolution due to a significant breakthrough in its tap-length filter (the technical indicator of how complex the interpolation filter is). Featuring a massively powerful FPGA and our unique custom coding we have achieved 1,015,808 taps, giving better-than-16-bit output from CD.
